I just wanted to know what computer accesories you guys think were the most overpriced? examples would be rounded floppy/ide cables, mouse pads, etc...simple stuff that we have to pay a lot for. let me know what you guys think 😀

Keyboards with detachable keypads are often $200+ depending on features.

Travan 20 GB tapes are $35. It's tape I mean really.

Ink cartridges are way overpriced. Costs $60 to replace both carts in my 932c, $90 if I opt for the full capacity tri-color.

And video cards are are there too. $350 for my GF 2 last summer. Now GF 3 early adopters are staring $500 in the face. Oy.

Floppy drives....should be worth $5...not whatever they are being sold for now.

Same with mice. OK...a bit more for the optical sensor, but not $70.

Printer Cables. My friend works at Best Buy and he pays 5% above what the store pays. Well, a $25 printer cable ended up costing him three bucks and some change. About a 700% percent mark up for us consumers.....ouch.

i second scsi cables

you can buy a 20 gb ide hd for the price of U160 cable with 6 connectors and a terminator.

Definitely mouse pads, particularly the gaming ones. $15-20 for a glorified piece of plastic that costs a buck or two to make.

I have to go with Scsi cables, too. Especially internal LVD cables and most external scsi cables.

actually, pretty much all the accesories at the regular retail store is over priced..

Ink catridge seems to be my pick..

Ink cartridges... excellent answer.

I was going to say most any cable (printer, usb, ide, etc...) But I think I'll go with esung's answer.
