What side is your computer on?

Um, I've got one computer on my left, one on my right and my laptop sits to the right of my CRT. You need a "I have too many computers" option.

I don't understand what you mean about the optical drive cover. Mine just pops out forward...

i'm guessing a door on the front of the case that opens

my case is on the left side of my desk because the case has a windows on it and the window is on the left side of the case, this way it faces the room, not that i really care tho, i woudl have gotten the case without a window but this one didnt have that opton

I dont have a drive cover, i despise them

Oooooooh! The DOOR! I get it, I thought he meant the drive tray.

My case doesn't have a drive bay door, but I like them to open up from the left, meaning they pivot on the right.

Done!!

Left, so you can see the case window

Umm. . . arn't most case windows on the left of the computer, so you'd need it on your right?

Some cases have little doors over their optical drives. Some swing open like doors, and others slide down.

If you can see your drives, please vote "no cover"

Why would you want to know that?

Because I'm shopping for a new case, and I realized that I assumed that most people kept them on their rights, and so designers would take that into account when desinging drive covers. Then I realized that I had no basis for my assumption, and became really curious.

Since most of us are right handed, it would seem we'd like to have access to our computers on our right side.
no way, im right handed and if its on my desk id prefer the left, that way I can keep my hand on the mouse while changin CD's with my left

think about what you just said

if the case window is on the left side of the case, the case must be placed so it is faceing out, if its plced on the right side of a desk the windows will be directly next to the leg/support of the desk making it invisible to anyoen else

if its placed on the left side of the desk, the mobo tray side will face the leg/support and teh window will face out

The case window is obscured by the side of the desk when its on the right (not a lot of leg room underneath as it is). I can't see it from where I'm sitting right now, but if it was on the right I wouldn't be able to see it at all.

Edit: Was this so difficult to understand?

left side of my desk...can't see it from where I sit (small desk--dorm room). no cd door cover thingy

My mind's eye had the computer on the desktop, so you'd want it on your right so you could drool on your own componants in a self-satisfying manner.

Look at all the assumptions we're attacking today! Isn't it fun?

lol

I don't really like it on the right even when I have a desk that can fit it comfortably underneath/on top... have to sit there with the LED glare in my face. The window faces the center of the room on the left, so its almost like a showpiece on that side.

Too bad your computer can't get you laid.
