What side dishes are you having with your turkey and/or ham?

I think we are going to do the traditional mashed potatoes with bacon, some steamed garlic asparagus, and some kind of green bean recipe. Oh, and of course dinner rolls. Chocolate cake for dessert this year instead of pie.

How about you and your family?

I'm smoking a duck this year. Also, thinking about replacing the rolls with a super unhealthy cornbread recipe I've perfected, which includes bacon, cheese, green onions, and sour cream baked into the bread. Sweet potato pie too. Mmmmm.

Since my gf's family pretty much sucks. I'll be having asian type food on thanksgiving, then promptly heading to a friends house to have dinner with them. Probably turkey, mashed potatoes, baked yams, pot pie, such and such.

Then I'm going to have my own turkey on Sunday since I love leftovers. Garlic mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, garlic/lemon green beans, potato rolls, pumpkin pie and booze.
