What show am I thinking of?

MASTERS OF THE MAZE = the show I'm thinking of :)

I remember it came on before the Super Mario Brothers Cartoon about 10 years ago.

I think the beginning of the game was setup in a Jeopardy fashion with kids competing in teams of two. (Three teams, each team of two was behind a podium). Anyway, all I really remember is the winning team had to complete this one final task.

Basically, one kid on the team would have this big digital map of the maze and the other kid would have to navigate their way through the maze. The kid going through the maze had to rely on their partner for correct directions.

One last thing, the maze was like a bunch of cells grouped together. And for someone to move around the maze, they would just basically crawl from one cell to another.

What show am I thinking of? It is NOT Legends of the Hidden Temple.

I was going to say Legends of the Hidden Temple, too...but now I know exactly what show you're talking about. I just can't remember the name.

Damn, that's annoying.

Edit: the games they played during the show were the same type of setup, right? The kids would take turns jumping around in electronic/video-game screens, trying to do things like collect coins while avoiding bats, and that sort of thing.

Was that the same show where they'd always start off by playing some weird, never-before-seen, generic-type super mario brothers/raiden game for points?

Edit: And yeah, every kid in America wanted to be on Double Dare...especially when they gave away those really cool car go-carts as the main prize.

yeah, that show frustrated the hell outta me cuz they always died inside of like the first 2 minutes of whatever game they played and I always thought to myself...wow, they suck.
