Lucas gets it right on this next one,
the movie rocks,
your seats are perfect,
and some f&ckhead's cell phone goes off?
This is happening more and more in theaters.

I wait until it has been out for a little while and the crowds have thinned. Less chance of it happening and easier to find out who it was to deliver the beat down.

If this were to happen, I have no doubt the guy would leave with a plastic lightsaber crammed up his ass.

I'll usually turn around and ask the person nicely to keep it down. Usually the person will get up and leave the theatre so as not to distract people. If that doesn't work a nice, powerful "shut the fsck up!" works very well.

When they showed the special edition Star Wars, some dickhead had a laser pointer, and I got so pissed that I stood up during the previews and yelled, "shut off that damn laser pointer!!!!". I felt like an ass for a split second but then the entire audience started screaming "Yeah!" and cheering. If it was during the movie I don't know what I'd do :(

At the Masters, cell phones are not allowed.
I heard one go off once.
5 security officers tackled the guy and cuffed him.

But do you use a loud ass ring or leave it on silent/vibrate so as not to bother others with the ring? Mine is always on at theaters but I put it on vibrate. I still know when a call comes in and it doesn't bother others.

worse yet a dick who will not shut his crap up. I hate those.. a freaking running commentary.

I felt like kicking that guys butt.. i couldnt tell him to shut up cause he was with a bigger group and the guy was much bigger than I was.

<--- hope that doesnt happen at SW ATOC or my light saber will be doing some short work of him.

... and that's the way it should be. People can be so inconsiderate sometimes it's unreal.

I use vibration mode on my phone all the time.

Phone rings annoy the crap out of me no matter where I am.

Oh, and I still see people who leave their damn phones on the loudest modes and make all sorts of noise as if they are proud of owning a friggin' cell phone, which nowadays can be had for FREE with a puny little service plan. I understand if someone brags about owning a SmartPhone or the new Sony Clié :D, but a cell phone? Some people never grow out of it, I guess.
