What should my i7 950 be at (temp) on idle/load?

Hey everyone I FINALLY!!! built my PC over the weekend and love it so far, I was waiting until the Lanboy Air case came out and then I finally picked up everything.

for this, (look @ my sig for the rest) I'll say once again I have the Lanboy Air case, my motherboard is an MSI Big Bang XPower and I am running an i7 950 on it with no overclocking (yet) with a Corsair H50 as the CPU Cooler.

I have the OC Dashboard hooked up and right now typing this my CPU is sitting at 27°C and my System temp (is this the temp inside the case)? is 32°C.

Now, is this normal for idle temps pretty much? If I play Metro 2033 the CPU gets up to about 30-32°C. I have NOT run Prime95 yet however I just want to know, for stock everything (ie. no overclocking of ANYTHING) what should the temps sit at, and with prime95 running full load for say, a half hour, what should it sit at?

I plan on adding another 5850 or waiting on a much better card thats somewhat affordable and adding another one, so this PC has a 1000W PSU (Corsair I think, can't remember off the top of my head).

BTW if anyone is wondering about the case, it looks amazing and the yellow isn't nearly as bright as it looks on the box, it looks nice.

I'm tempted to hit the OC Genie button on my motherboard however I just want to know what the stock temps should be and if I'm good, I think those temps are really good are they not?

Thats about 80F at idle..barely getting above room temp...unless you live in the North?

lol, I'm in Canada, so I am assuming that that is an amazing temp then. In terms of °C though what would be a danger zone?

If you start getting into the mid-70s or low-80s during normal usage, then be worried. It seems like you are a long way off.

That chip is begging for more voltage ;)

Ok thankyou, I am going to run Prime95 maybe tomorrow, I have heard you can get the 950 up to 4.0GHz pretty easily and it'll be safe, how does the H50 stack up against other coolers, I really REALLY wanted the Coolit Vantage however the store (NCIX) that I picked up all my hardware from does not have it in stock and they didn't know when they would get it. It looks really good but how does it compare to the H50...

Also is there a way to monitor my XFX 5850's temps? I am not sure if I am going to keep this card I may sell it in the new year to get one of the cards from the coming soon 6000 series or I will go with NVidia... not too sure, but so far this card runs Crysis @ max settings as well as Metro2033 ALMOST at max, was kinda dissapointed it couldn't run Metro @ max but I don't think a ton of computers out there can, I've seen videos on youtube from this game and many people don't run it at max, they don't even run it close to what I am.. (almost max).

Should be running Prime95 for at least 2 hours.

In any case; my temps are 45c idle with a 920. I hit about 70c load, then again my room is hot.

I get 40c idle 75c+ Intel Burntest (8 threads) stock.

OC it's a few C higher but not much (max 82-83 in Burntest Max - normally 45-55c in games).
