I'm not sure about the score you would be getting on the E2160. But the system in my signature gets 11k.

Looking here, 10-12k seems right. That benchmark's very CPU limited these days, and not too useful for anything but making sure you're not getting abnormally low scores. Your performance in real world apps (e.g. games) is much more important.

3dmark06 isn't good for benchmarking in Vista, also it's very cpu limited. Get vantage or use a popular ingame benchmark like crysis.

I got around 12000 in 3dmark 2006 with my system, but as SSChevy2001 pointed out, latest ATi cards pretty much sucks in 3dmark2006 benchmark. I scored about the same or even lower I think, then I did with my old 8800 GT. So loose this benchmark and use vantage, or even better, benchmark your games, because those matter the most.

Hrm, 3Dmark06 or 3Dmark vantage won't work for me (using Vista 64 bit) - I don't know what the problem is.

3Dmark06 says "This application has failed to start because OpenAL32.dll was not found" when I try to run it (even though it supposedly installed during the installation and I've tried manually installing the dll.

And vantage "encounters an unexpected problem" when I try to launch it. Here's a PIC of the full error box

I get 16290 with my rig, but then again i guess it doesn't translat to real world gaming performance...3DMark loves crossfire...i get mid 11000's with only one 3870

download and install the lastest openAl driver from creative labs, that will fix the issue for you, it's a pretty common problem

http://connect.creativelabs.co...ds/Forms/AllItems.aspx download the file "oalinst.zip"

Yeah I said earlier I tried that but no go. Says it installed successfully but 3Dmark says it still can't find it. Even after a reboot. 3Dmark05 worked fine though.
