What should I upgrade?

I have

AMD Athlon X4 2.8ghz
Nvidia 9800GTX+ Superclocked Edition
1TB internal HD
4gb RAM (only 2 RAM slots😡 )

My monitor isn't HD. It is 1680x1050, and I think because my resolution isn't quite HD I am able to run pretty much any game I want to right now on MAX settings. Still, I feel my system is antiquated...

What should I upgrade?

Nothing?

If it does what you need, put the money into savings for a better upgrade next year.

I think you may be right. It plays what I want it to play just fine. Probably the only thing it could do better, and the performance gain would maybe be marginally noticeable, would be if I bought a 1980x1050 display, and wanted to get a DX11 card and play in HD. I don't really know how much better that would look.

You mean 1920×1080 (that is 1080p or today's standard HD). If you have 1050p I'm guessing you have a 22" Monitor?

That is what I have, and for my next upgrade, I'm going to be focusing on having a larger screen, though I'll be doing a complete (or near complete) system replacement.

Now that's something that I can work with!

Here's what you would need for 1080P gaming:
ASUS VH242H 1080P monitor $160 AR
GTX 460 1GB $140 AR
Total: $300 AR
