What should I upgrade next?

Ok, here is what I have right now:

1.4 TBird AYHJA
ECS K7S5A
512 PC2100 Crucial Ram
Geforce2 Pro 64mb
80gb Seagate Baracuda IV
Generic 12X DVD
Lite-On LTR 16102B (16x)
SK6
Onboard Sound, Onboard Lan,
4Q Full Tower Case (SUX)

So I was first planning to get a new Case or DVD, but I want to hear what you guys think. Maybe a new motherboard? This case is REALLY hot right now (38C f/load) and I don't have room for another intake fan (1 intake, 2 exhaust, 1 slot exhaust). My DVD drive has been giving me nothing a lot of troubles but I've learned to avoid them (not using it except for DVD's). I'm happy with my video card cuz I don't do much gaming. Well, what do you guys think?

EDIT: I use onboard sound btw.

jacklutz: You do realize that 38C is my case temperature? Not my CPU temperature.

What are the advantages of an Audigy or any sound card in that case? I don't do any gaming or anything. I listen to music a little but I don't care how it sounds.

your system seems pretty balanced. if anything, i'd upgrade the case to a antec 1030 if heat is a problem and maybe upgrade to the sb audigy. i'm pretty happy with mine.
good luck

The only thing holding my system back from playing with the "big dogs" is my cpu, everything else is kept up to date... video, sound, memory, hard drive, cd burner, dvd... I emailed hp and they said HAHAH SORRY YOUR COMPUTER DOESNT SUPPORT ANYTHING HIGHER THEN 733... Doh.

I got my audigy for it's firewire port.

If you don't care how your sound sounds, that would be the only benefit. Maybe less cpu usage also.....

Hmm, I think I'm going to upgrade my case first because I really have no use for a sound card. Then I'll get the sound card. Or hey, maybe I'll get both if I get enough money for Christmas ^^.

Okay, so I've decided.

1.) Antec SX1000 (chenming one, doesn't matter where), Chieftech, ETC.
2.) Philips Acoustic Edge (I'm getting this cuz I heard GREAT things about it. Too bad no firewire T_T)

Someone please write something to persuade me to get a sound card. I don't really see the need to get a new one over my onboard card. I don't have great speakers (Labtec Pulse 424) and I usually don't use it (headphones). What advantages will I get from a new soundcard? The quality of the music doesn't matter as I have programs that make it sound better than my friend's $200 speaker set (when his is at default). And I'll repeat, I don't play much games.
