Overall, that is a great pc. For gaming, I went from a 9600xt to a 9700 pro and the difference was amazing. For you other tasks, either a 10k western digital hard drive or a raid setup perhaps. You hreally have plenty of ram and plenty of cpu.

Yup, faster hard drive (raptor maybe) and a faster video card (depending on what games you play). Everything else is plenty fast.

Games that I play are:

Battlefield 1942
Call of duty
Need for speed underground
far cry

Components im thinking of upgrading/adding, in order of upgrading:

Headphones 5.1 (but dont know which ones.... any suggestions?)

western digital 120gb 7,200rpm 8mb cache and raiding them in raid0

Maybe a new case as mine doesnt look too flash

Video card 9600XT ------> 9800PRO (not sure whether to do this yet)

Maybe more ram as my ram is getting replaced so they have said they can do a 1gb pc3200 stick and I can buy another 1gb stick and then later down the track I have more room for adding more memory

I would suggest a raptor. It'll much very handy in opening those large video files and such.

or you can think about a 9800xt since the price is gonna be lowered w/ the intro of the X800.

What kind of ram do you have and what are the timings on them?
