So I'm saving as much as I can this Christmas and there are Five things that I would like to spend it on.
The first: A nice new guitar.
I'm getting back into playing it and so far, I'm having a blast. I'm starting to think that I should upgrade from my old acoustic practice guitar and get a full sized one that will sound ALOT better.
Pro's:
*Good for the mind and builds hand coordination
*Fun
*I can pass it down to my kid's
*Girls dig guitar. 😉
Con's:
*I might get bored of playing again and have it sit in my closet doing nothing.
Next thing I can buy: A new camcorder.
The one I have is broken, I didn't really care until I started watching little videos online that reminded me how much fun it was before it became 'work'. So I think it would be fun to get a new one and start messing around again. I'm thinking of getting a Canon GL1 or XL1. If I can find the money, I would LOVE to get my hands on a XL2 but thats waaay out of my price range.
Pro's:
*Have fun making fun little videos and work on a trade that I all but gave up on.
*It's always nice to have a good camcorder handy.
*It will make me go outside.
Con's:
*Holy crap expensive!
Next: A nice digital Camera.
Always wanted one, thinking of getting a Canon rebel or something and taking some photography classes at my collage.
Pro's:
*Using it and taking classes will help me learn how to frame shots, useful in filming.
*It's always nice to have a good camera handy.
*It will make me go outside.
Con's:
*Holy crap expensive!
Next, Something we all have to think about: College.
I did take some classes for video editing but I never did anything other then that. I was thinking about going in for a Asst. in Art. My whole family seems to have the talent for it, maybe I have some as well. I always wanted to learn how to draw.
And by doing that I will have to take Eng and math classes that I need to take very badly. (My math is worse than my spelling. ...Ya, I know.)
Pro's:
*LOT'S. (Oh thank god, You can spell now!)
Con's:
*Art isn't very useful in todays word. Mostly.
*It could turn out I SUCK at art.
