I've got 2 new machines on d2ol, but it's killing a p2 266MHz w/ 64MB RAM.
I'm thinking SOB or RC5.
Give me your sales pitches.

It does less than 1 an hour, and you cann't use it at all while it is running.

SOB would be ok , except it will take a looooooooooooooooong time to finish a big block

if you had more ram i would suggest DF, but even without the -rt switch, it uses ~20-25MB

what OS are you running on it?

OGR is always a good fallback

I am running SB on a P3 500, and that completes a major block once every couple of days. Providing you tell it to submit intermediate blocks, which will happen every few hours, then the server will know you're working on the block, and won't reissue it (as it would do if the computer doesn't contact the server once every 4 days i believe it is)

Welcome to the SB TeAm :) I hope you continue running the project, and it suits your needs :)

D²OL would be a brilliant client to run if only those ar$eholes at Sengent would get their fingers out of their bums and fix the problems they have instead of saying they are fixing them except they don't bother. KenW said on the 19th Dec the problems with the stats were being fixed then, but the problems seem to be going from bad to worse :(
It's memory heavy but apart from that and Sengent themselves it's fine :)

Kk4JC, That's the machine I started running RC5-64 on back in 1999. It may not seem like much, but it would help the RC5-72 team out. :D

I'm running SB on a Pentium 133 w/48mb of RAM, but I honestly can't tell you how the usage is because I never use it, it's just crunching. It hasn't crashed since I've been running SB though :)

Hah! I started running RC5 on a 486-40mhz, then upgraded to a 486-60mhz, at least until I could get my BH6/Cely300A@450mhz up and running. The work fleet at the time consisted of a bunch of 166mhz up to 266mhz desktops. :D
