What should I run counterstrike in D3D or OpenGl

OpenGL if possible. Not that D3D itself is bad, but for this game, OpenGL is the API of choice. The D3D option is there more for compatibility with older 3D cards without full OpenGL support.

You can fix that decal and bullet hole problem in D3D quite easily. Read the readme file and look for instructions about the 'gl_polyoffset' command.

I use the OpenGL and it runs great. Tried the D3D and just didn't seem to be as good. Go with the OpenGL budday!

OpenGL is the best and only choice.
Why? Cause CounterStrike is designed/developed on OGL and D3d is just as a alternative choice for those older video card that poor support OGL.
