Hi all,

Appreciate if your expertise can recommend me a small upgrade for my PC.
Basically looking for the value for money + the best i can go before getting any bottle neck on my CPU & etc.

One problem i have also is with my EVRA 7950GT is overheating, i have no idea why since i am pretty noob about all this, but every time i restart my PC, i need to wait for the entire PC to cool off for 5-10mins before i can turn it on again. *thus the suspect of my 7950GT overheating*

My system is currently a 2 year old config of:-
GA-965P-DS4
E2200 D2C
2GB DDr2 800 (2x 1gb on dual channel)
EVRA 7950GT
running @ 1650x1080 (if i remember correctly)

I seldom play around with my system, but i am thinking of tinkering with it for a final round before i change the entire system. And i dont play graphics intensive games *only WOW* & i am using window 7 now.

i am:
-Thinking of OC my E2200
-thinking of doing a slight upgrade of my 7950GT to 4870? or 9000 series? really could hope for recommendation that are money for value.

any help will be appreciated.:awe::awe:

well a 4850 or gts250 level of card would be a massive upgrade over your 7950gt. even with those you need to oc that cpu a bit to try and get the most out of them. I think a 4870 would offer no real benefit over a 4850 at that res with that cpu at stock 2.2 speeds. those Pentium E2xxx series are only about as fast clock for clock as the old Athlon 64 X2 cpus which are quite poky to be paired a fast card.

EDIT: I dont think the warranty on either that 9600gt or 4850 would be transferable.
