What should I expect with Canon customer service? edit: it works!

I called them about a slight problem on my A70. They were very helpful, moreso than other companies. Understanding them was a plus too 😉

A refurbished digital camera has a 90 day factory warranty? are you sure it wasn't a 90 day warranty offered by the seller?

CAll them, you get much better results. With Canon, I've never been on hold for more than 2-3 minutes to get a person.

From my past experience, they are awesome. I had dropped my camera a few years ago and it gave an error message. I thought I had to pay for the repair costs but they fixed it for free!

"FACTORY SEALED BOX"
"CANON REFURBISHED WITH 90-DAY CO. WARRANTY"

The seller has 10k+ feedback at 98.6%, so I assume they wouldn't be shady.

i dropped my s400 which really messed up something. it would turn on, then take really weird garbled pics. i sent it in and they fixed it for free. they were GREAT.

Canon customer service is great. My friend's Canon S400 had memory card read errors and when she sent it in for repairs, she included a note saying that she was going on vacation in 5 days and would appreciate it if it could be repaired in time.

She got it back in 4 days since they shipped it back overnight air. 😀

Hm, it started to cut in and out, and then I twisted the body of the camera a little, and it just started working. 😕 😕 😕

it's alive!

😀

That's a freaky pic. 😛

BTW, gphoto works great, you pretty much just need usb support and it takes care of knowing how to speak to all kinds of cameras. I have a little script which grabs all of the pics off of the cam, puts them in the right place, and deletes them from the camera. 🙂

Stop, now you're making me want a digital camera.
