I usually have leftovers to eat, but we had salads for dinner last night, so no leftovers.

I'm feeling pretty lazy, so i'll probably get fast food.

My options within 4 blocks of work:

1) Nuggets from McDonalds
2) Burger from 5-guys
3) Pizza from local pizza joint
4) Sub from Subway

I'm leaning toward 5 guys because it's been about 3 months since i've been there...

Try to order your mcnuggets for breakfast and then go on stage for some free bottled water.

5 Guys

Subway has become wicked overpriced around here. Their subs were never very good to begin with since they skimp on the meat but now they charge like 10 bucks for a meal. For 10 dollars I could go to a Diner and get something 100 times better.

"salad for dinner" ?
How on earth do you accomplish eating just a minor premeal side dish as dinner?
You must be starving!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been to 5 guys, but if they have a 10+ oz burger with bacon, that's what you need.

There are plenty of filling ways to eat salad.. heres just a few

1)
Mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, hardboiled egg, diced ham, cheddar cheese

2)
Repeat above, but replace ham with tuna

3)
mixed greens, feta cheese, watermelon, w/ balsamic vinegar/olive oil

Not to mention steak salads, chicken salads, etc...

They just don't make good leftovers since you only ever make enough for your one serving.

I'm usually stuffed after eating a big salad like that. And it lasts longer than eating a bunch of pasta...

Those sound like delicious pre-meal snacks to eat before I chow down on a big juicy steak :)

Personally I'd eat subway just because I like that feeling of blood pumping through my body. But yeah enjoy that greasy monstrosity they call a hamburger.

Subway. I always feel I'm getting better value from a giant tasty sub than a small, greasy burger.

These are not salads. People call them salads so they can feel better about eating healthy, but by the time you finish adding all the cheese, eggs, proteins and fatty dressing, you might as well have just eaten the steak.

I don't do it to be healthy, I do it because it's cheap, quick, and it tastes good. They make great week day meals where you don't have the time to cook something.

Sure, i'll cook us up some nice prime steaks here and there, but i'm not gonna buy $40 ribeyes every night for dinner.

Having salads 2 or 3 nights a week is healthier and cheaper than ordering food for when I don't feel like cooking.

Cobb Salad FTW. Still get your bacon.
