What should I do!?!

Hi guys, I am currently using an Athlon 1700@2000. I have 2x256 pc3200 ram and almost every other component needed to make a second pc. All I need is a cpu/mobo. I have $150 to spend. Right now, I can get an A64 2800 and mobo for $120 shipped without warranty that does 2.2, or an A64 2800 and mobo for $140 shipped with warranty that has never been overclocked. Both use Chaintec nforce3's. My question is would you jump on these offers or wait a bit for some of the prices to come down on newer stuff. All these new cores and stuff are coming out and I figure the prices have to drop soon. I even saw a sempron E that looked interesting and cheap. How long would I have to wait to get something decent at this price? What would you do?

I am a big gamer, and my family uses it. I have a 9700 pro right now. I was about to get the A64, but this pc runs CSS, my favorite game, on high with 4aa+8af, and for every day use it is perfect. I am a much bigger console gamer anyway. With the XBOX 2 and everything coming, I think I will wait. I have had this pc for 2 years and it has served me well, why get rid of it. I'll push the overclock a bit further and keep it. I am the vp of a telecommunications business and we buy Dell's practically every month. They are usually overkill, but they aren't much more money so we get them to make our customers happy. Maybe, I will swap mine with one of those eventually 😉 Really though, when will the next good pc-only game come out that will stress my pc.

I'd wait until I could afford an A64 3000 at minimum, plus a decent mobo, preferably one that has the Nforce4 chipset.
