If you're sending it to him in the US then what does it matter if he's sending it somewhere else later?

he hasnt said where he wants me to send it, and he says i should have it ready to ship tomoro... ample time for him to then retract the payment, if he even makes one. and i have no idea if the royal mail will even post to iraq lol

then he asks for my paypal email address?.... the pay now with paypal button is on the bloody auction! to me this = scam

As long as he pays you with a money order or western union you are fine.

Hm, you should contact eBay and see what they suggest.

yup, best thing would be to get eBay involved before this goes any further so if something does go wrong, you've already got it on record.

thats a joke right?

In your case, the Money Order doesn't fly.

In the US, if you get paid with a USPS MO, you can cash it instantly at any Post Office (up to $1,000).

If someone pays with a Western Union Wire Transfer, once you pick up the money, payment cannot be reversed.

meh he aint gettin it anyway.... my auction explicitly says i will not ship anywhere but the UK, and if he's in iraq then it aint happening, and his postal address is 112 covenant avenue, MI 48089 so its definately not happening

First mistake you made was not turning on the zero and negative feedback filter for your auction.

DO NOT SEND. THIS IS WORD FOR WORD WHAT SEVERAL OTHER SCAMMERS HAVE USED.

i can't believe people still need to ask if something is a scam or not.
we get like 2 of these a day.

i've said it several times, why even bother with them? you're just wasting your time. report them to Ebay and move on.

If he didnt follow the terms of the auction (which by the way you should have set your rules to block buyers from countries to which you dont ship) then you are under no obligation to complete the sale.
