this box used to have a really ancient cartridge CD rom drive in it. I want to put something in it but I'm not sure what. I will add more pics later but here is one.

You can try that or you can chuck it. I just have so many spare parts that won't ever be anything yet I feel compelled to keep them, that is makes sense to recommend to others to get rid of their extra and very old stuff.

I thought the mini ITX mobos used a standard ATX power connector. That PSU has only 5 and 12V - no 3.3 no 5vStandby, etc. About all it's good for is to put some other drive(s) in. You can get IDE to USB and/or Firewire adapter cables. Other than that, it's basically scrap...
. The PS looks like it's a switcher so be sure not to run it much without a load on it.

If you decide you aren't going to covert it to another computer, media player, whatever we can conjur up. I recommend cutting out pieces and putting them in your comptuer cases to better direct airflow. I've seen some cases with makeshift air directors that channel some air directly to the graphics card, or up toward the harddrives. I'm sure you could figure some good use for it, perhaps around some wires or something. It's just an idea, and then you wouldn't feel like you were completely wasting the 5 pounds of steel.
