What should I do with a suspect HP EX950 SSD?

Hey everyone. So I built my wife a computer last month, and I had used the HP EX950 SSD in it. However, it appeared to develop write errors early on & attempts to cool it off with heatsinks & fans didn't seem to prevent that. I even tried doing the firmware fix that's been floating around. I've since replaced it with a Samsung; I'm not sure if I should try to return it to Newegg, HP, or wait for more fixes. I also had to move the label at some point, and it says that voids the warranty; which as I recall isn't supposed to be legal, but meh. Thanks.

Since you already replaced it, and I assume the Samsung is working fine in her computer, then I would try to RMA or return the drive. If you can return it to newegg for refund this would be the simplest option.

Sorry for the late reply; bunch of stuff been going on. I was past the "Return to NewEgg" option, so I reached out to HP's contractor on that SSD; which funny enough is also based here in the LA Metro. Hopefully they'll agree to exchange it!
