i placed an order with www.theoverclockerzstore.com/
for a athlon 1200 processor and heatsink/fan
i received the order on Saturday January 5th and realized that the processor was backordered
starting on Monday January 7th i've tried calling the 3 numbers i could find a total of a dozen times and have not gotten though to anyone
my phone messages or emails have not been returned
the email i sent said
"I just received my order, invoice number OCZ1288
The processor was backordered
If you can not ship the processor today, Monday January 7th, please cancel the backorder for this item and refund my discover card immediately"
i received an automatic email wednesday night from the online store that said the rest of my order has shipped
i already bought a replacement CPU locally and dont need the one i ordered
my question is: should i refuse the order from Fedex, keep the proccessor and resell it, or try to contact the store and return it?
ps. the fan they sold me is a piece of crap, my system wouldn't boot with it. i brough it into the local store where i got the CPU, they put their fan on and it booted right up
johngute,
Your situation is yet one more example of why OCZ is banned from these forums. You actually got off easy compared to some of the horror stories in the past.
