Well I have an IBM Deskstar 75GXP 61.4GB 7200 RPM ATA/100 hard drive that is encountering some problems. When trying to scan disk or format my c: partition (there are three partitions on the drive) it makes a wierd sound. What is my best bet? Is it possible to do a low level format, which would restore the drive to how I orginally received it (no partitions, no data, etc)?
