If all fails, try just mailing it in on Monday. Some companies will not even notice the date.

Do you just make up the answers you post on as fact on these boards or what ?

Pardon me?

I mailed in two "late" rebates. One was a day late, another one was over a WEEK late. I got them both. Therefore, one can assume that some companies may overlook the date on the envelope.

If you were confused the first time, try going back and reading it again.

Or maybe you, my dear friend, need to retake Grammar 101 and come back again :D
In either case, do you have anything to say regarding this rebate matter, or are you here simply to do the morning mocking?

All the companies I've dealt with involving a late rebate have sent nothing back in return, not to mention there is a deadline for a reason.

Ah, so the same must be true in all cases at all times because it happened to you.

Last year, I sent a $20.00 rebate post-marked one day late and got my check. It was one of those seven day offers, must be post-marked within seven days of the purchase date printed on original sales receipt. I didn't see that until it was too late.

What else are you going to do? The only choices you have are to toss it in the trash or send it off. If you toss it in the trash, it is 100% guaranteed you will not receive a rebate. If you send it off, there is at least some chance you might get it.

Roughly 8 weeks later, I get a post card informing me that my claim was denied due to 'incomplete submission form and/or materials". So I figured it didn't work, nothing else I can do, and tossed the post card in the trash.

About 4 weeks later, my $20.00 check comes. WTF?? I have no idea either, but there it was and I deposited that biotch.

Of course, that pretty much cancels out the $20.00 K-Byte RAM rebate I recently was denied [wrongly] claiming the reason was 'duplicate submissions' when I did no such thing. :disgust:

Don't send it, then call them in about 1 1/2 monthes asking them where your rebate is. They'll say they never recieved it, call them a liar, they'll say resend it. At that time you'll resend it, and hopefully collect your refund. Hey they can lie, cheat and steal, why can't we.

You could print out postage and it has todays date on it. Try the USPS website for more info.

Check the 'airport' post office. The one here (orlando) is open 24 hours. If they accept it today, even though it won't be shipped until tomorrow, maybe it will have today's date postmarked? You can call them anyway.
If not that, mail it tomorrow and contact the company that is holding the rebate (email or phone if possible) and see if they will make an exception.
I've heard of companies issuing rebates past the deadline without any hitches, as has been mentioned already The one time I tried, though, they sent me a rejection letter :(

Kiss $60 goodbye.

I had a Maxtor rebate that was rejected because I missed the deadline. I would mail it on Monday anyways -- just in case they didn't notice the missed deadline but I wouldn't have high hopes for it.
