What should I do about not getting return Heatware?

I haven't done many deals in the FS/T forum but when I have I promptly leave Heatware for the folks that I've dealt with (all positive so far). I've bought from seven different individuals since last October and only 3 have chosen to return refs. The ones who haven't have been senior members or above with 50+ positives. The last one I dealt with was a golden member who didn't send my goods out until 11 days after he got paid for them (said he would get it out in the next 2 days). I pm'ed him on the 10th day to ask if he had a dc; he said he would check on it and get back to me. Never heard from him until the 20th day when when he pm'ed back, "oh yeah, did you get it? I forgot all about it". Well, I got all the stuff I paid for (better late than never!) and I pm'ed him back that I had recieved everything and that I had left Heat for him.....positive heat. Waited two more weeks and nothing in return. I said nothing to the other guys who stiffed me before, but today I pm'ed this guy and asked that he leave a ref and put a direct link to my heat in the pm. Am I wrong to ask for heatware? I feel like I shouldn't have to ask....I mean this guy has 50+ so he doesn't mind getting refs. I'd like to build on my credibility so that others can have confidence in dealing with me and maybe start trading more frequently in the future. Does anyone else have to ask others just to get heatware? Am I just a whiner?? Let me know what you think....

For that guy you should have left neutral Heatware. That way the next guy who trades with him will not be surprised when his stuff is sent out late. Also if I am the buyer I will not leave any Heatware/Ebay rating until they have left for me.

There's really not much you can do about it, other than not giving them heat either. I've gotten only about half of my heatware evals back to me from all my deals. Sometimes people forget or don't have the time (even though it just takes a minute) to do it at the moment. That's ok with me, but just as long as they leave heatware for me later. I think the sellers should be the first ones to leave heatware, since the buyer is usually the person who pays first. Same thing goes with ebay and any other eval system.

Thanks for the support guys. yakko, I thought that a neutral might have been in order, but I figured that I would have gotten a retaliatory neutral or negative in return. Since I've only gotten 3 positives so far, I didn't want my record screwed up by someone wanting payback. I agree with you Max that the seller should post first when they get their funds, and from now on I'll follow that rule.

BTW.....I got the eval I asked for this morning ;)

if you get a retalitory nuetral, heat23 will fix it for you. Dont worry about them.

I must confess that i dont leave heatware very often anymore. I have 50+ and dont really need them. I would say i have been in roughly 150 deals and dont even bother asking about it anymore.
