What should I clean the lense of a high-quality digital camera with? It has a fingerprint...

My friend's Canon Poweshot Digital Elph S400 has a fingerprint on the lense. I'm pretty sure it was there when I borrowed it (I think I saw it when we went to QuakeCon2003), but I'd like to get it off before returning it just in case...

It's the type of lense you're obviously NEVER supposed to touch (ie, protected when off by flaps that automatically cover it).

I know I've seen all kinds of expensive optical brushes and cleaners in Edmond Scientific catalogs and stuff, but there's gotta be something more down to Earth than that (They brag about NASA using their optics on the moon, and their equipment is primarily for expensive lasers, telescopes and microscopes, not 4 megapixel digital cameras).

Get some microfiber towels you can clean the lense, your monitor and all kinds of things with those. I use microfiber towels for just about everything now a days, I cant say enough about how good these towels are. I own an auto detailing business and even use them to dry cars, simply put BEST towels in the world IMHO.

I own some; awesome 3M innovation :) However, they've been used and I don't fully trust my washer/dryer to be dust free ;) (3M says to wash them and reuse...)

OfficeMax has Fellowes optical grade cloths. They feel kinda silky and they're good for wiping scanners, glasses, etc. They're similar to the ones at Lenscrafters. Free after rebate sometimes ($2 - $2) but if you can't wait, it's probably no more than 5 bucks regular price.
