What should I choose as a major?

OK, here's the deal. I'm a Freshman in college and, like most Freshmen, I haven't settled on a major yet. I know I have plenty of time, but I don't want to spend an extra year in college because I didn't know what I wanted to do. I hate math and suck at it too, so anything that requires a lot of it is out by default. I'm seriously considering Psycology and Marketing right now, but I'm not really leaning either way. What do ya'll think? I would especially like to hear from those who have or are pursuing one of those majors, but any opinions are welcome. Thx.

I never was much of a speller. But seriously, I need some GOOD advice here.

Finally an inteligent response! But I'm really stuck between the two I mentioned earlier. I'm pretty sure it will be one of them.

With dual majors of Psychology and Criminal Justice I only had ONE math class other than the basic algebra...unfortunately it was Statistics. (And for anyone who argues that's not really a math class but a logic class...HA! Blech.) But hey, for the mathematically-impaired it's a great choice.

I'm not really interested in Criminal Justice. And I'm sure as hell not going for a double major. I'm thinking of minoring in sociology though.

Swoop, you probably have at least a year, perhaps two, before you have to declare a major... why don't you simply take courses which interest you at this point? I think it's a fair statement to make that most people who come to college with pretty certain ideas about a major, end up changing their mind later on. Good heavens man, enjoy college while you can, before your major decision is made, and you get told what core classes you need to take.

My God, what are today's freshmen coming to, stressing about choosing a major already? Freshman year is supposed to be about sneaking into bars and frat parties, and breaking the ties with the parental units. Relax a bit

I'm not totally opposed to grad school, and I've given that some thought. Another thing I was thinking about was if there are any jobs other than a psychologist available in that field, and if so, what are they? I think I am leaning more towards marketing now though.

CS if you want a job, and you could easily gets work with 2 years program.

Psychology or Marketing BA will get you a job flipping burgers at McDonald, but a MA might get you a very high paying job if you can get one.
