So, thinking about buying a new cell phone just because it's sleek and I'm tired of my current one. It is $350 (A900 from Sprint). How would you spend the $350 instead? Please don't reply with "save it" or "invest it".

You have or want an A900?
I've got an A900.
Personally, I think I would buy an AK-47.
Either that or a CZ52 and a K31.

Invest it. If not ...
Look at a smartphone. Look at a nice LCD. Look at some clothes, sneakers.
If I had $350 to spend right now, I would buy me a LCD since I have a CRT. I used to be crazy for cell phones, but my admiration for them is not the same.
Also, you could go for clothes shopping.

I would probably upgrade my processor to an AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800 and pocket the rest.

I used to go gaga over every new phone that came out...
Then I realized I really only use the thing to make phone calls so it's kind of pointless to keep switching to the latest and greatest for a few extra features which I'll probably rarely use. I'm happy with my Mot E815.
If I were spending $350 on something, I'd upgrade something that could really use updating-- like getting a newer portable MP3 player, or replacing my car's 8-track with a cassette player.
Same size as a Treo 650 (smaller actually -- no antenna), and people go nuts over those for god knows what reason.Originally posted by: Aimster

That's a brick in your pocket

I can't think of any set of circumstances that would compel me to spend $350 on a phone.
