What should I be upgrading first?

I currently have:

1.5ghz Celeron-M
60GB 4200RPM HDD
2x256 RAM

Now, I'm not going to be upgrading the CPU... but given the slow speed of the HDD and only 512MB of ram... which should I be upgrading first? The ram? Or the harddrive?

Yuo didn't answer the most important question.... hwat are you using it for? Are you currently hitting the pagefile? If so the RAM. If not the HD. It's all in the usage though...

I don't even watch the pagefile so I don't know how much of that I'm using. I range from document typing, web browsing, to Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and programming through SSH. I just want things to feel a bit more speedy 🙂

HD if ur doing a lot of hard drive intensive apps. you'll notice a difference from 4200 vs 7200, next would have to be ram.

:]

If the 7200RPM HD is a little on the expensive side, find a 5400RPM with 8MB cache (not hard) 🙂
