problem is, I have worked my ass off the last couple of years and I have pretty much everything I want, in all practicality

Gift certificates for an activity, ie paintball, rock-climbing, bowling. Something you can enjoy like that.

im also a student living in a dorm and there are sooooo many things i would love to have

I usually say to get me a gift card for a certain type of item so that if they don't like the idea of a gift card they are pointed in the right direction.
But had my bd just yesterday and opted for a surprise me and got a freaking a/v receiver made of win.
