Hello guys. I'm building and AMD system. I don't want sugestions about changing it for a Intel system. I live in Brazil and a friend of mine is coming from the EUA in april/may and she will will bring me a processor. As the dollar is cheap in Brazil ( 1.00 dollar = 1.80 reais, that is our coin, soem time ago it was 2.50 reais) my dad wants to buy the processor today, but i'm telling him that as many new processor are going to be released in the newxt few months, the prices will be lowered and he will be able to buy better things. So what do you think, she will only come in May, should i buy it today or should i wait to buy it in April, as if i buy it today, i will not use in until May ?
He wants to buy the x2 6400+ windsor, it's a good processor, but what about phenom 9500+ ? In tom's hardware charts, it is better in some things and worst in others. For games, do you think it is worth 10 more dollars to go for a quad-core ? My fear is that i buy a 6400+ and in a few months all software are otpimized to run with quad cores and the phenom will be better than 6400+.
Buy now or wait ? If to buy now what should i buy ?
