just wandering what shell accounts you use (if any at all)...

feel free to post any you like, free or not.

edit: i mean ones like sdf.lonestar.org; public access unix servers, which ones do you telnet to... not which ones you crack into and give yourself an account, ones you have legal access to.

heh, sory about being ambigous, but that's what i meant...

Yeah, I am kinda confused about what you are asking...

I don't think you mean shells, because you say account.

What is a real useable use of a shellaccount for a person besides haxoring? Like anything a normal person can use it for?

email.... I was told that the USC have setup their students with mail accounts that they access using PINE from Sparc20's. Back in the day... I always used PINE to check my email. Actually, I find it more simple and straight-forward.

and come on... who never used talk or ytalk? ;)

speaking of free shell accounts... I might be giving a few away... any takers?

there will be some serious restrictions though... no pinging and no ftping for starters...

i use shell accounts every day for email and work. when i'm at work, i usually have at least 6 connections at any given time.

i'm using a shell off of helpme's box for free and my school's account. :)
