What shaft flex do you prefer?

I tend ot find that the faster I swing, the club is too far behind....but I do like to have just stiff as opposed to extra stiff in the bag for that drive that you just want to gently put out there.

extra stiff.

in fact, just picked up an extra stiff nike 350cc 9.5* loft driver from sam's club for $60. :)

i'm replacing a taylor made 420 stiff 10.5* loft .. still a little too "whippy" for me.

I swing pretty fast, so I have to really close the club face to compensate for the whip effect opening it up a bit.

My hat goes off to everyone in this thread for actually using the words "stiff" and "shaft" in the same sentence in a non-sexual context.

Extra stiff driver (Callaway Big Bertha II), stiff Rifle shafts in the irons (TaylorMade Firesoles).

Need to replace the driver, it isn't my favorite, but the irons are sticking around. Just can't wait until the snow melts!! GD northern Canada.

I prefer to have as little flex as possible that's what the struts are for!

Of course azipods make this a moot point so...

Stiff shafts for me.

And Patt, get a Taylor Made driver. I have the 580XD and it's awesome. Taylor Made > Callaway or Nike

Stay away from the TM r5 Dual. It's not worth the $330.
