What settings for an XP2600 cpu

Sorry to ask this but I am dumber than dirt when it come to setting these multiplier stuff. I have looked till my eyes hurt so
I thought I would just ask. I just got a XP2600 processor and what and where should I change the settings to in order to
get it to run stock. Not interested in OCing. I know I need to make the changes in the set up but am just not sure what to plug in.

Whats your bus speed (there are 2 2600+ kinds: 266 kind, and 333 kind).
1. if 266 - then in BIOS, set your FSB to 133mhz
2. if 333 - then in BIOS, set your FSB to 166mhz
3. You cannot set the multiplier unless the cpu is "unlocked" (ie via the mechanical intervention has its pins connected with fine cooper wire, or is penciled)

What motherboard? It should set it automaticly.

Thanks for the replies. It is the 333 and the motherboard is A7N8X Deluxe. The CPU is showing up as a 1.23 or something a lot less than what it is

Yes bro, its cuz your fsb is set at 100 mhz. Go to bios, advanced chipset settings (or something. The second option on the second sheet in BIOS) and where it says FSB or Front side bus.........100, just press enter and select 166 instead.
