I would use 32-bit esp if you are testing graphics stability. You don't need to actually play it unless you are testing game stability. When you just leave your charater standing still, it still is using full processing power.

For testing CPU stability, set all of the graphics very low so your video card does not cause a bottleneck. I usually use Normal 640x mode myself and then start a skirmish game with a few bots on a small map that has no time or fraglimit. Once the match starts, just become a spectator and track one of the bots. They will play until your PC crashes or you get sick of testing.

Spoon,

This is off-topic, but do you remember the PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals) website? :) What ever happened to it? That must have been 5 years ago..

I like to use the setting that I play with, which is usually 800x600 or 1024x768 with 32-bit color and all details to the max. Me like eye candies!

Hrmmm, try not to force your vid card to be a bottle neck, you want to test for CPU stability, not video stability.... lower vid settings sounds good to me 800x600x16 or 1024x768x16 shouldnt cause the vid card any problems, and run with lots of bots and have it follow one as brian_riendeau suggested
