What settings do you use for 8500 in games?

I have currently got Smoothvision properties as:
Direct 3D & OpenGL
Optimization Preference: Performance
Anit-aliasing: Always on (2x)

Dithering method when alpha blending: Use error diffusion dithering

OpenGL
Optimization Preference: Performance

Just curious as to how you think the best settings work as new to this card

The only setting I have different from yours is: Optimization Preference = Quality under OpenGL.

I am using Windows XP and have played games like Serious Sam and Black & White and have noticed objects get blurred when lots of images are on screen and it even jitters very slightly.
I am curious as to whether it is OS or card.
The first image in Serious Sam after loading up, the background images are slightly blurred. Does anyone else get this??

Get yourself the Rage3D Tweaker. It changes your settings for the game you execute. It has alot of game profiles already built in and takes no work on your part.
