What settings do you guys use in the audigy 2 zs?

So yeah, wondering what settings you guys use for your audigy 2 zs (with the creative drivers) (I'm like an audiophile), maybe I can try some too.

List these things

Speaker Settings (5.1, headphone, 2.1, etc)
Speakers/headphones you use
Graphic Equalizer setting
Advanced Equalizer setting in EAX
CMSS 1 or 2 or disabled
Bass
Treble
Bass boost and at what cutoff point
What style you like (mellow, lively, high, bassy, clear, etc.)
any other thing i haven't listed

Me:

Headphones
Sennhessier PC150 headset
EQ Chamber
EQ Pop
CMSS 1
50%
65%
30% at 20 hz
lively and clear

I'm a wanna be audiophile at best, and I don't have an A2, but I'll venture a guess that a real "audiophile" would try to keep everything as flat as possible and not artificially process the sound or add effects to it. (oh, and they probably wouldn't be using and A2 😉)

So, they'd listen to music in stereo on speakers or headphones, have the equalizers flat, CMSS off, bass/treble boost off, if a style of flat/default is available then that....

So anyway if I had an A2, that's what I'd have the settings on most likely.

In short, bump for you 🙂

5.1
klipsch promedia 5.1 ultra.
flat EQ settings right in the middle.
cmss 1
flat bass and treble settings, nothing modified.
i like clear sound and i dont like unnatural sounding bass.

Let me start off with this, CMSS sucks, period, you're better off with Regular 2.1 or Stereo Surrond if your listening to music.

75% Master Volume
100% Wave
~~ Your Treble pref.
50% Bass
Stereo Surrond or 2.1 for Music.

Klipsch 5.1 Ultras

Bass- 0
Center- 0
Rears- 0

EDIT: Stereo Surrond will also double the bass output so your sub's bass level may need to be turned down.

true. but with an audigy 2 zs, everything flat still sounds crappy IMO.
If I had a revolution 7.1 I would do so much better.

Everyfing neutral/effects off. Don't fiddle with PC audio settings once so set (just requires reset after driver update). Digital out to receiver which may either leave PCM stereo unmolested or duplicate to all speakers. For mutual isolation, AKG-271 headphones are plugged into receiver and for surround encoded sources I may opt for mock surround effects (matrixed stereo) like SRS TrueSurround XT to be applied by a software decoder.
