2 hard drives 1 terabit and 500 gig

i mostly play wow but getting in to alot of other games ..againi know new cards are up and comeing but ifi dont buy now then i will not havethe funds later.. the wife will get it ..buy now or lose.

I'd go with the 5870's, myself. If you can get them from somewhere you can return them and get a 6970 or a pair in crossfire when released. 😀

5870s will be faster, but I would get the single 480.

Dude, just wait two days.

Spidey sense says 6870 crossfire will be faster than 5870 crossfire and cost less. You can make it 2 more days to Friday, then order two of those and wait for them to arrive 😉

You need to weight what's important to you for yourself. Looks like price really isn't much of a concern for you. So that means you need to weigh performance along what features you want or will be using. If you have questions and want facts about the cards the best we can do is give them to you, but ultimately the decision is entirely up to you according to your needs and wants.

What are you doing with your rig?

Solely for gaming?

Any folding@home or stuff that CUDA would be an advantage with (TMPGEnc transcoding for example)?

Any other user-specific concerns you have regarding the setup choices - power-consumption, GPU HSF-related noise, etc?
