It's been over 20 years since there was cable in this house. I have rooftop antennas and get HDTV via my desktop and projection system. It's via a MIT MyHD130 PCI card and it's software. It's nice but it's strictly OTA. I bought an HD Homerun tuner recently, but have yet to set it up, been busy with other projects.

I'd like to be able to watch Warriors basketball without traipsing to a bar.

I don't know any of the ins and outs, for instance, what channel(s) their games are on.

I'm strictly into time shifting, would never be pleased with real time TV, so REW/PAUSE/FF are essential. My HDTV software supports QAM and it used to be that Comcast cable could be used with it but I'm told that today's cable doesn't support this.

What's the best way (reasonably cost effective) to get time-shifted Warriors basketball? Other channels and programs, there's nothing I crave ATM, but I imagine I'd get into some of the other stuff.

Thanks for info, tips, suggestions, etc.

Comcast SportsNet (CSN) - Its a NBC Sports station that plays every Warriors game.
CSN Bay Area, CSN California are also names that may appear in the listings.

http://stream.nbcsports.com/rsn/nba-warriors-live-stream

It's pay TV - not OTA.

DirecTV should also have this station available. Warriors, Kings, Sharks, A's, Giants
So, this would be direct streaming of just this one channel, nothing else (presumably cheaper than a whole set of stations)? Can I work that in a DVR type scenario so I can skip commercials, have REW/Pause/FF?

Check out sling tv and what they offer. They offer my local sports team channel and many others in a package that costs $25 a month with no contract. Dvr is available for $5 extra a month. Once basketball season is over I'm cancelling sling. It works great but I don't watch much tv besides basketball.

Going to that page I get the impression that I have to have a subscription service of some kind. They want me to pick out my service from a list of possibilities and of course I have none because I'm strictly OTA right now.

I figure the Sling is my best bet right now. Going to go fiber around Nov. if Sonic.net is on schedule, but right now my bandwidth is pretty pathetic. I'm on DSL using ATT copper wires and am getting 4mbps if I'm lucky using ethernet internally. Too damn far from the CO. Funny thing is, I used to get better bandwidth, it's been deteriorating and Sonic and ATT haven't much helped. I can pay more and get double combined lines, maybe pony up $30-$40 more/month. Don't know if they'll let me cancel that when NBA season is over. Pretty much sucks what I'm getting from Sonic right now.

I figure I'm going to need more than 4mbps to get decent HD streaming. Right now my Youtube videos suck bigtime. Except when using my RCACambio Win10 V2 tablet/laptops. For some reason streaming (using wifi) with those is pretty damn smooth! Weird.
