There was a girl who ended up in our ER twice with BACs between .60 and .65. Now that's hardcore.

You know, it took me a minute to catch on to the title of the thread.

There was a story a little bit ago about some chick that showed up at a court hearing about public intox or something and she was drunk there and blew a .4something.

BA never means anything to me, I don't understand what the numbers mean. Well I do but I don't. I need a reference like the OP had

Its the percent of your blood that is actually alcohol. .1 means .1 % of your blood is alcohol.

Its decimals into a percent .1 is 10%

I see what you did. .1 is 10% of 1, and when you are dealing in probability, 1 = 100%. It's like when you want to find a percentage on a calculator and multiply the number by a decimal. When you want to know 22% of 145, you multiply 145 X 0.22

However in this case the decimal is not representative of a probability percentage, the decimal is the actual percentage of alcohol in the blood, no conversion necessary.

So you had a brainfart. It's ok. Obama said in a speech that there were 57 states and he was the editor in chief of the Harvard Law Review. Keep your chin up.
