What seems to be best OS for the via chipset??

I am running win 98 and have trouble running on via chipset ran fine on BX mobo but not KT7 Anyone think its worth upgrading to 2000????

yea sure. even if u didn't have problems w/ ur via chipset, I'd recommend going to win2k. U'd only refrain from going to win2K if u are wary of game performance/compatibiltiy.

My MSI K7T Pro is working great with with Win98 OS1 & all my new games,as for upgrading it all depends on what you want to do with your PC,for games only stay with With Win98, anything else it`s probably worth upgrading since Win2000 is a excellent NT platform.

Well I play a couple games mostly just one Half/life and I have a 1 GHz system so you think win2k will do allright playing this game.

Im just tired of all the BS with win 98 Ill opps all the time it just never seem to be rock stable at all that what im looking for is solid stabilty in an OS/

Best OS for the via chipset is Dos 6.22.

Radboy thanks for link and thanks guys for help I guess No OS is perfect right now so will continue to work the bugs out/live with them/ like I have been doing for 2 years with win 98.
