What school(s) did you attend to get your PC job?

I graduated Chubb Inst. Of tech. I wasted 12 grand on that school. I learned more reading off of captions on PC sites.

After that I spent a few hundred, if not over a grand, getting certified. MCSA, MCSD, and MCP+SB.

I had to take the MCSD more than twice, mostly because microsoft's tests are cruel!

I would like to start attending night classes at NJIT for computer science and engineering. Because if you do not all ready know, some company's actually cap your income based on education. Plus, most jobs I want you need a bachelors or 4-8 years experience in the field.

Grand Valley State U in Allendale, MI just north of beautiful Grand Rapids. (yeah, right)

Worst 4 years of my life. And yes, just like you I learned more being in the field hands on during that 4 years than I did at college. WTF cares about liberal arts. Teach me bridging and translating, give me IP's and subnets. That's my bread and butter. I could care less about Romeo and Juliet. Ok, I care about Juliet. I wouldn't mind dating her. :D

Not to mention WORTHLESS. Most people do not know the difference between MCSD and the far easier and more common MCSE that tons of totally unqualified applicants have. I've never actually heard of a MS certification helping someone get a job.

I agree with you to a point that the MC certs are worthless. However they did help me get a job being a network engineer's bitch.

A network technician that is.
