What scares you more?

I am in daily pain and i am not afraid of dying.

my fear is that i will die of something that is really painful and takes a long time.
 
I am very afraid of death for some stupid reason(i guess beacuse i really love life).
But, i have never been in HORRIBLE pain so i cannot compare.
 
Howabout excruciating pain followed by Death? ie: getting sat on and used as a Rag Doll by Rosie O'Donnell only to become her 3:00 snack when she gets hungray.

Death usually comes quickly and you're done.
Pain lingers on forever and you can only wish for Death while you suffer.

Simply stated, I fear the umknown. I know pain too well, but death I have never came across, and I can't find anyone to tell me how it went for them.
 
the fear of the unknown scares me. so i'm going to say death. pain, at least you know what you're going to get. death on the other hand is a mystery, even for those of faith, is it not?

death scares me more.

Well, I know for a fact I'm gonna die someday.
But it may be possible to avoid serious pain for the rest of my life.

So I guess I fear the pain.

I'm horribly frustrated with the concept that I must die some day. I don't want to. I love life, I think I could live 20 lifetimes and still love life.

Perhaps when I'm old and feeble I'll change my mind.

I'm not afraid of death, because I know it will be one of 4 things (all started by #1)

1) Like going to sleep/passing out (and ceasing to exist)
2) Going to Heaven
3) Going to Hell
4) Something else we can't imagine - i.e. reincarnation, space aliens, the answer is 42

I've gone to sleep, and passed out/been knocked out a few times. I've been in a lot of pain too. I'm not scared of death, I yearn to stay alive.
