What S775 motherboard should I get?

Well an recent mishap has left my board with a dead 4x PCIe slot and Highpoint 4x PCIe SATA RAID controller. Stupid, rogue screw and your short.

Anyway, I am in the market for a new Socket 775 board.

The conditions are that it needs a PCIe 4x slot or greater for my RMA replacement of Highpoint 2310 4x PCIe RAID card and it cannot be a Nvidia chipset.

I do not care for SLI or CF capabilities. Any suggestions?

Nope, they will not cover parts that were damaged by electrical-related causes. 🙁

A quick look on New Egg shows quite a few P43 and P45 based boards that would meet your needs. Looks like all the major brands have one. Accourding to your sig, youv'e had your q6600 at 2.93 and almost any new board you might pick could beat that. So you probably can't go wrong with any of them.

Expect, I have B3 Q6600 and it runs kinda toasty at 2.93Ghz. I could up to 3.0Ghz (333x9) and still be within specs for P35/P45. 😉
