I know many people married that don't love each other, and do not have sex. I would still consider their marriage a marriage.

You don't require love or sex to be married.

There was a time when we needed population growth. Reducing the burdens of families from taxes could be argued. Today, children are a social expense. Everyone pretty much has to pay for other people to have children. I no longer see any justification for subsidizing children.

Married also did not start in the Church FYI. You did not make that claim, but I would bet that you think marriage came from religion and it did not. Religions picked up marriage as it was very important to society and wove itself into marriage, but marriage did not come from religion.

There is no need to have religion in marriage, but if you want to thats fine. The role the state has in marriage is one of legality in terms of contracts and assets, but should not be required to be married. If people want to combine their assets and have responsibility for others, that is fine with me. If 2 consenting adults want to engage in a contract then great forthem.

But wouldn't you agree that you are condoning homosexuality by accepting that contract?

And wouldn't you agree that if we were all homos it would be a threat to our species?

The real question:

"What role does worrying about someone else's marriage play in being an asinine troll."

A typo? Is there a slur button on your keyboard of all the individuals you don't like?

Some typo. You first edited it out, then add another line to the post with a new appearance of said slur.

Jesus christ. Are we that PC in this day and age?!

Homo is short for homosexual. There are real slurs I can use. Believe me.

Not here you can't. I already told you.

It's hardly an issue of being PC. You're just such a bigoted asshole you don't realize it.

homo a derogatory term usually used by hetrosexual men against other heterosexual men
Dictionary.com
1. a contemptuous term used to refer to a homosexual, especially a male homosexual.

Edit:
And is it a typo or intentional? Because first you say it's a typo, then imply that it was intentional. Own up to your bigotedness.

I haven't read any of the replies but is the OP referring to personal opinions of marriage or the government definition of marriage? Both are totally different ideas, one could be based on love while the other has nothing to do with love or sex.

It's hardly a derogatory term. I've refrained from using REAL derogatory terms and I will continue to do so

You quoted 2 different instances. One instance I meant to type homosexuality. The other I meant to type homos

You should read the replies; they're pure magic. But to answer your question, the OP is completely unable to envision that such a division exists.

It seems there are people here who think consummation of a marriage doesn't mean anything. And I'm sure a lot of people will make jokes about how they're in loveless sexless marriages.

I think a marriage should lead to children. I think only those that consummate the marriage and progenate should get married. I think that's a start.

If you don't have love or sex in the marriage, it seems you have some civil union that is purely economical and financial.

Why don't you all tell me the parts of marriage because so far it's not love or sex.

And if it is love, what kind of love are we talking about here?

There's different kinds of love. Love for your kids. Love for a new toy. Love for your mother. Love for the lakers.

You tell me then. Since you're all so open minded and are so evolved and I'm just some backwoods bigot who you've assumed is racist too.

You tell me

Why do trolls always pose the same questions regarding the same issues over and over and over and over and over again.

Just find a nice toaster and settle down together.
