What rig are you hoping to run Crysis on?

Probably the rig in my sig, plus a gig of Ram. If I have to, I will upgrade to a 8800GTS.

Looks about the same as my future rig except mine's gonna be a E6600 on a P5B-E Plus probably.

Not planning on running it! But if I do ever end up accidentally playing it, it'd be on the rig in my signature.

Things I will be changing in the rig in my signature:

E6600
w/e compatible motherboard for my 6600
R600/8800GTX..whatever is best bang for buck at the time

this will be to run Crysis, UT2K7, Alan Wake, & Quake Wars...and Spore :D

I'v been running modded 7900GT's in SLI 7900GTX's config for almost a year and I think it's faster than 8800GTX and much cheaper (paid about $440 AR)... hard to give that up. We'll see if she holds up. I try and buy HW after a problem arrises not before.

I'm not to worried about Crysis, as it's nearly a year away, & it's not the kind of game i like anyway.

Now UT2k7, that's another story.

I will likely be sticking with this P5B Deluxe & Team Xtreem DDR2-1000 regardless, but my CPU & video card will likely change for UT2k7.

I am likely gonna upgrade this E6300 to an E6600, or one of the newer release E6x20 4 MB CPUs, & as for video card, i have no idea.

This X1900 XT isn't gonna cut it, especially as i will be soon getting a 1920x1200 display.

But i am extremely unimpressed with the pricing on the 8800s in Canada, so i am hoping R600 helps bring some competition & prices down accordingly...

Are ATI cards cheaper in Canada than in the US because ATI is a Canadian company?

Porsche, seriously, what kind of performance do you get out of that rig? I'm not mocking you at all, I'm really curious. How old are the games you run, with how much eye candy, and does it ever get choppy?

Have they officially delayed it for that long? It was originally supposed to be out Q1 2007. A whole year away now? :(

- 1GB OCZ platinum @ DDR540, maybe add another gig

1280*1024

Think I'll manage?

The rig in my signature, hopefully. Might be able to afford an 8800 GTS or something along those lines though, by the time it comes out.

Curious to those who said xbox360 and PS3...I thought crysis was PC only?

It is PC only as of now, but it'll probobly make its way to the consoles eventually.

My God...

And hopefully I'm able to run it on:

AMD X2 4200+
2GB PC4000 OCZ Gold RAM (3-3-3-10) - may have upgrade to 4GB, if I must.

As for video card, I currently only have a 7600GS 512mb DDR2 card so I'm going to upgrade to a 7900/7950 or maybe even an 8800GTS/GTX by the time Crysis rolls around, but we'll see.

The X2 and 2-4GB of RAM plus a new video card should be able to do it. I hope?

Hopefully it'll run it will on a system like that. I think Crysis will probobly be at least a dual core optimized game, if not quad core.

I'll run it on my x2 4200+ with 2GB ram and an x1800xt.
If it doesn't perform good enough, then I'll upgrade the video card.

FYI
Just lilke with every PC game ever released in history, as long as you have semi-modern semi-decent hardware, you won't "NEED" to upgrade to play. You'll only need to upgrade if you want all the eyecandy or to bump up the resolution.

Here are the Crysis Rrequirements

Minimum Requirements

CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8ghz
Graphics: Nvidia 6200 or ATI X1300 - Shader Model 2.0
RAM: 768MB on Windows XP or 1GB on Windows Vista
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 256k+
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP

Recommended Requirements

CPU: Dual-core CPU (Athlon X2/Pentium D)
Graphics: Nvidia 7600GT or ATI X1800GTO (SM 3.0) or DX10 equivalent
RAM: 1.5GB+
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP

Well, I know the video card upgrade is going to be necessary but I just hate being s939 and having slower RAM than I could potentially have. Which is why I constantly contemplate a full blown upgrade. But so soon.. that's brutual. The thing is I'm going to want to be running it at native on my 22'' at 1680x1050 widescreen.
