I bought Civ4 a while back and I have been really enjoying it. At some point during a conquest, I had a flashback.

The next day I found the old (abandonware) SIS game "People's General" at Underdogs.
I've probably put in twice as much time on it as Civ4 since.

Who else is still playing old games, which ones, and where are you finding them?

 
I recently bought the entire Final Fantasy Series that was released on the Playstion/PS2, except for XI and XII.

I'm close to the end of FFI, looking forward to FFIV

Edit: I played Final Fantasy I, IV and VI on the NES/SNES. I've never played the games that were originally released on PSX/PS2 before.

yeap. i have them all but FF VII ( i had it but can't find it) and the new one just released. I love I-VI.

going to get FFIII that is released for the DS this month also

I got really lucky and found FF VII for $35 shipped on eBay.

Edit: Non-greatest hits, no less.
 
I don't know if this is old enough, but I've been playing a bit of Total Annihilation lately. I had to buy it for a second time (don't remember where I ordered it) because my original discs eventually got messed up after years of use 😛
 
Every year or two I get an urge and do a play through of Earthbound or Super Mario RPG.

I own both on cartrige and stick them in my still functioning SNES. Got them back when SNES was all the rage, before the PSX/N64.

i looked at getting it off ebay. cant find it cheaper then $70 heh
 
Just finished Dungeon Keeper 2, missed it the first time around, and was hell to get it working right under Windows Xp. Recently I also played the Splinter Cell series, Battle for Middle Earth, and War of the Ring.

And Final Fantasy Origins (I and II). So I, II, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX were all released on PSX. All but III, which is due out for the Nintendo DS.

Oh yeah, did both Doom1 and 2 about a year ago using zdoom, was too easy even on the hardest setting below nightmare. Actually beat most of the par times by a considerable amount.

oh yeah orgins. i always forget that.

i have I, II, IV,V,VI,VII (but can't find it ;(),IX and FF tactics! need VIII

on ds/gba i have FFI-II😀awn of souls, FFIV, FF IV and FFV (wife picked it up for me. didnt liek it on the PS system) and going to get FFIII when released heh

Me and my dad play against each other over our network here at home. One of the best games ever. The only thing that I think that tops that is some old school Command and Conquer. Lately though I've reinstalled Master of Orion (the very first one...floppy disks to install). I love that game so much. Old games rock
