I'm curious because I was amazed at the number of people who are so against the Catholic church. I also find it interesting that it's okay and even chic to bash or put down a Catholic yet when someone is against gay marriage...heaven forbid, you are labeled a homophobe, bigot, or worse.

i don't think anyone has a problem with the fact that catholics are against gay marriage. the problem lies more with the fact that many religious feel the need to force the rest of the country to live by their religious beliefs (read: constitutional amendment)
Winner.

We're voting on the marriage ban thing here in GA next Tuesday. I'm sure it will pass with flying colors.

I actually wasn't aware that'd be on the ballot; thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to look out for it. I doubt my vote will matter against the majority down here, but I'll cast it anyway.

As far as my religion: I'm catholic. I like some of what the religion advocates, and don't agree with other aspects. I sort of pick and choose what suits me best.
I'm sure it'll pass since this is Georgia, and you know how we love to hate them godless homasexshuls....I hear they don't even watch NASCAR. ;)

I'm guess I'm agnostic. I don't really think about it. I don't know if there's a higher power, more than one, if you can't know, if one existing religion is right, if they're all wrong... dont' know.
