What registry entry do I edit to make a custom resolution?

I read an article recently, where a couple of guy hooked up their PC to a Plasma screen that ran a custom resolution of something like 780x480. All they did was edit a registry entry.

Anyone either know where I can find this article or know which registry entry I need?

you can use a program called unituner to change to any resolution you desire and any refresh. dunno if powerstrip will do the same.
