1152x864x32bpp at 75Hz on a 17" Dell 1028L monitor.

If I bump the resolution any higher, the refresh drops down to 60Hz, which has lots of noticeable flicker. So I guess this current mode is my monitor's sweet spot.

1600x1200x32bpp @ 85Hz on a 21" Dell P1110 FD Trinitron

* 85Hz is very easy on the eyes.
😉

Higher refresh is not always better for 2D quality, IMHO. I'm on a 17" Trin @ 1024x768x16 @ Optimal refresh.

85hz - if you care about your eyes, don't acsept enything below that!

Monitor: 15" MAG DJ530 1240x786x32 (quite old 🙁) on Asus v6800 Deluxe

100Hz

Nokia 445XiPlus

(will go up to 120Hz but most video cards don't like it and I get ghosting)

hmmm.

I have a STB velocity 3D (S3virge/VX POS!) with a voodoo1 card (yes I know my setup is a little out of date...). At the voodoo1 properties screen it says 75 hz but at the S3virge/VX prop. screen I set it to "optimal" now (used to be "standard&quot😉. This is a little confusing now, but my screen definitly doesn't flicker.
