Hello,
I have a video cd where the only files have the extension .vcd. There are no mpegs, and Media Player can't recognize the files. Any ideas for software or anything else??

Thanks
Goldie

*.VCD is a Windows file extension for a Windows Speech Engine. It is also used by Philips CDI (Interactive Video) along with DAT files on the old CD movies used before MPEG and DVD. I have about a dozen movies in that format.

There were several CDI players around about 4-5 years ago. DVD killed them all off.

I can play them on Windows Media Player by clicking on the last DAT file. The .VCD files are used by the program, but they are not played directly.
